Cellulite home remedies are the cheap alternatives to some of the popular cellulite creams saturating the market today. A good number of aestheticians and fitness professionals recommend these remedies as great supplements to a weight loss diet and exercise program. Some cellulite creams and oils work by being absorbed directly by the skin, helping your body get rid of those lumpy fat deposits; by stimulating circulation and detoxifying the skin. Some other topical remedies for cellulite, such as the coffee-based scrub described below, work by making use of the base’s diuretic properties; flushing out the surplus fluid that sometimes exists right beneath the skin. Thus, this helps diminish the appearance of cellulite. Here are two of the best cellulite home remedies, which you could pair with your exercise program for better results (after consultation with a doctor or other health expert).

Essential Oils

The first of the cellulite home remedies is the cellulite essential oil massage solution, which is easy to make provided you have a nearby health store that carries herbal essential oils. The two essential oils for this remedy are rosemary oil and fennel oil, which are oils known for their ability to increase circulation and detoxify the skin. Both of these need to be placed within what is called a carrier oil in oil mixing. Carrier oils are the milder oils that aromatherapy oil manufacturers use to dilute the essential oils; since some essential oils have such strong effects that taking them directly may burn the skin. The ideal carrier oils for this remedy are jojoba oil or almond oil. If you cannot find either of those two, you may make do with a good olive oil instead for your carrier.

Application

To make the blend, measure out one drop for each of the rosemary and fennel oils to every 7.5 ml of the carrier oil. You could also measure out one drop each of the essential oils to every one and a half teaspoons of the carrier. Once the solution is prepared, simply warm it lightly in the microwave and then use it for a massage; moving your fingers in little circles on the parts of your body affected by cellulite.

Coffee Scrub

The second of the cellulite home remedies that you may use is the coffee scrub, which was mentioned earlier as having a diuretic effect helping to rid the skin of excess moisture trapped underneath it. To make a coffee-based scrub that you may use once a week, mix half a cup of ground coffee and a quarter cup of brown sugar with some olive oil until the mixture starts to look like a paste. This treatment should be applied in the same way as the essential oil mixture described above and must be rinsed off after application. After the application is applied, use moisturizing skin cream to ensure the outer layer of skin does not dry out.

Since cellulite home remedies make use of some active ingredients, be sure to check first if you have an allergy to any of these substances before applying them. Make a small amount of either of the two mixtures above and apply it to a small patch of skin on your hand or arm. If an allergic reaction follows, do not use the mixture. You should also consult your doctor if you have any particularly sensitive conditions before trying these cellulite home remedies.
